A headlight. For now, Alpine is giving little else away. A first image and a short teaser offer a glimpse of the lighting signature of PS1, the concept car set to make its debut as the Paris Motor Show opens. Enough to pique our interest, while keeping the car’s overall design under wraps.
We have already seen it, and we cannot wait to tell you more. For now, the details — and exactly why we are so taken with it — will have to wait. But we can share our immediate impression: it looks beautiful. And our first reaction on seeing it was a spontaneous “At last!”
You will have to wait until Monday 12 October at 9.20am Paris time to understand what prompted that reaction.
PS1: a different side of Alpine
The name is deliberately understated: “Projet Spécial 1”, or “Special Project 1”. Alpine places the concept within its special projects pillar, one of the three strands of its product strategy.
The other two are more familiar. “Extraordinary Everyday” brings together the models designed to broaden Alpine’s customer base and drive its growth. The “Icons” pillar is embodied by the A110, the sports car around which the brand has built its modern identity.

PS1 therefore explores another avenue within that strategy. Its status as a concept car is confirmed, but its technical details and any potential plans for production have yet to be revealed. The “Special Project” name naturally raises expectations, though it offers no firm indication of what might follow.
For enthusiasts, that is what makes the unveiling so intriguing: the chance to see the car in full and understand what Alpine wants to say with it.
A first glimpse of the next A110
PS1 will share the stand with the Alpine A110 Sculpture, first presented in late September and making its public debut at the Paris Motor Show.
Beneath its blue veil, this artistic interpretation hints at the proportions and some of the design themes of the third-generation A110. It is based on the new Alpine Performance Platform, or APP, and draws inspiration from Concorde, particularly the moment it breaks the sound barrier.
The sculpture marks another step towards the unveiling of Alpine’s next sports car, allowing us to appreciate its shape without revealing the final production design. For Berlinette enthusiasts, it will be another reason to linger on the stand.
Alpine A290 and A390: more scope for personalisation
Alpine will also showcase the extension of its Atelier Alpine personalisation programme to the A290 and A390. New colours, trim options and finishes will feature, including the A290 Collection and an A390 GTS in Bleu Tempête Mat.
The Paris display will bring together several aspects of the brand: greater scope to personalise its current models, an early glimpse of the next A110 and the intriguing PS1.
Alpine will welcome visitors from 12 to 18 October 2026 in Hall 6, Stand A22. The PS1 unveiling will also be streamed live on the event website.
We cannot wait to show you more. Until then, make a note of the date and time: 12 October at 9.20am Paris time.
